Elena's update

So a few weeks ago I had an interview that went really, really well at Borders. The guy kept telling me how I was at the top of his list and he really liked my work experience. He ended up not hiring me, but said there were more positions opening up in the future so he might be giving me a call later. I never thought I would hear form him again, but about a week ago he called me and offered me a job. I ended up accepting and after trying to figure it to where I could work both jobs decided to just put in my two weeks at the bookstore I had been working at. (Yes I nominated Erin to take my place!) I really liked working there, but Borders is bigger, has better name recognition, and is paying me more. Plus, I get better hours and will have more to do in the children’s lit field. Since none of the libraries in town are hiring I figured this is a decent second best. I’ve been training and will have my first official day next week. Exciting! Plus, the discount is better and they have a bigger selection. Priorities, priorities. Today Erin and I did laundry and are cleaning in anticipation of seeing Dad and Joe tomorrow! Exciting!
