Hello family and friends! Erin helpfully informed me today that she was the picture-taker, and I was the writer so you should all blame me for lack of writing updates since she has been doing her part uploading pictures.
The big news lately is that Joe finally moved in! YAY! He and dad got up here late Thursday afternoon. I have to say it was much easier moving Joe in than it was moving me and Erin in. Namely because he had a lot less stuff! Most of my Friday was used up trying to navigate Dad and I back from the airport where he had parked the night before. We got a lovely tour of Cambridge, Harvard and the airport. After we got back I headed to work while Erin, Joe and Dad picked up lumber and constructed a platform for the air conditioner. They got the platform set up, got the AC in it and.....nothing. The AC was broken the whole time! Never fear, it's not THAT hot up here and with the fans that mom and the grandma's helpfully supplied (THANK YOU!) it's not too bad.
After I got of work I met Joe, Erin and Dad in the North End, which is the Italian end of the city. Joe, Erin and Dad got to the resturant way early and stood in a long line that stretched to the end of the block. By the time I showed up we only waited about 20 minutes.
It was really great food, and the waiters had awesome Italian-Boston accents. Thanks Dad!
Since Dad left Erin and Joe have done a really great job of incorporating all the new stuff into our apartment. We now have rugs, more wall decorations and Joe's room is all set up. We'll have to do another video blog later.
My last way at the Jamaicaway Bookstore was today, so now I can just concentrate on the Border's job. Erin and Joe went on a huge job hunt yesterday and today so fingers crossed something pans out!
Welp family and friends that's what's been going on lately. Hope all is well in the Land of Oz and we miss you all!
