****There is a really awesome bike/walking/running path behind my apartment, and it’s so pretty and green that I’ve had the urge to run for the first time since my last two-a-day practice was over in high school. I don’t know if this urge has something to do with the fact that I have tons more free time on my hands, but I think I might try to take advantage of the urge. Of course, after my first painful jog I will probably wonder why the heck I ever thought running would be fun.
****I miss living in a place where meat is a delicacy and oh-so-freaking-tasty, not some form of torture towards animals. Where grocery stores were properly stocked and in order to find organic crap you had to look pretty hard.
****I also miss seeing guys who wear jeans and t-shirts, tennis shoes and athletic shorts instead of the - oh I’m a hippy and so above buying things new from an actual store look with long floppy icky hair.
Hot.
Not.
****I am so addicted to Dunkin’ Doughnuts iced coffee it’s rather sad.
****I am very excited to shop at a farmer’s market for produce.
****Although it’s so inconvenient to do all the shopping here there and everywhere.
****I miss Manhattan’s chinese food. There! I SAID IT!
****It is also rather disappointing that the pizza here heavily favors thin crust.
****On Boston.com there was a list of 25 things to do this summer for under 25 dollars and Erin and I had already done quite a few of them, and the rest we were waiting to do with Corey and Catherine. We rock!
****There is a Sonic coming to Massachusetts!!!!!
****I have a huge bruise on my left calf and I cannot figure out how or when I got it. And I don’t bruise that easily so it’s kind of strange…..
****I get to see my brother and my Dad in a week and a half! I miss my crazy family.
****Which means I will have yummy homemade tortilla’s again! OH HAPPY DAY!
****I get to buy new tennis shoes for the first time in over a year and I’m a little too excited about it.
****There has been no sign of our mouse lately! Point for Erin and Elena!
****I am eligible for a phone upgrade and can’t decide what new phone I’m going to get. My “want” brain is arguing with my “need” brain. Sigh.
Want.
Need.
****Seeing a truck driving around here is really uncommon, unlike Kansas where people need trucks for farming and such.
****The sand sculpture contest I saw on the Discover Channel is happening THIS WEEKEND on a beach up north. Erin and I will trek up there tomorrow and come back with a lot of sweet pictures. I am also very excited to see the water.
Speaking of this contest, Erin pointed out that on the website is a listing for the sculptors and the very first guy listed got his Landscape architecture degree from K-State! I’m so gonna rock the purple tomorrow!
